The Institute

Introducing The International Institute for Japanese Garden Arts and Culture

In North America, over 300 public Japanese gardens have been created, serving as exemplary representatives of Japanese culture. To support these gardens as well as their curators and staff, we will establish the International Institute for Japanese Garden Arts and Culture. This Institute will be a comprehensive educational facility dedicated to furthering the knowledge of Japanese gardening techniques.

The Institute is currently accepting applications for Waza to Kokoro – Hands and Heart: The Use of Stone in the Japanese Tea Garden,” August 25 – September 5, 2017. For more information about the program, please click here.
